The big question here is:
Can I still have Hello Fresh meals everyday as part of my 1 year weight loss journey, and still lose weight?
My wife and I both have very busy jobs, and work long hours, and so over time we had got into a routine of having the same meals week after week…. The meals are not bad, and not really even unhealthy, just the same each week!
So last year, after seeing a ton of adverts online (just like the one’s below!), we signed up to Hello Fresh. I’ve got to be honest – its been great. We love it.
Literally everything is included in the box that arrives each week on a day of your choosing, and there’s very detailed step by step instructions that even I can follow so you don’t have to work too hard to produce a really nice meal every night! We’ve been impressed.
It also looks like that in recent months, Weight Watchers have partnered with Hello Fresh, which is great for me as it makes tracking my food even easier! Instead of having to build your meal, ingredient by ingredient in the Weight Watchers App, the ‘Weight Watchers Approved’ Hello Fresh meals are already listed in the Weight Watchers App ready for you to select with one click.
And when you plan your Hello Fresh meals in advance on the Hello Fresh App, it now tells you the meal options that are ‘Weight Watchers Approved’ and it tells you the points of the meals you are picking.
Its perfect!
Can I Lose Weight Using Hello Fresh Meals?
Currently (Sept 2022) I have 46 Weight Watchers points to use every day (that number will reduce as I lose weight), and these Hello Fresh meals typically come in between 16 – 24 points, and are around 650 calories.
Each meal includes a range of fresh vegetables, so I don’t have to try too hard to ensure I’m eating a healthy balanced diet. And because I’ll know exactly how many points each Hello Fresh meal will be, I’ll be able to ensure I stay within my daily Weight Watchers points allowance!
So in theory, yes I should be able to lose weight using Hello Fresh meals! And as I’m going to be using them as part of my weight loss journey, I’m going to write about them on this dedicated Hello Fresh section of my site. On each individual meals page, I’ll also include the amount of Weight Watchers points for that meal.
Listed below are the ‘Weight Watchers Approved’ meals (or other healthy-ish Hello Fresh meals under 650 calories) that I’ve had during my 1 year weight loss journey, from Hello Fresh. You can assume these are really good and highly recommended, unless I say otherwise in the cooking notes!
